Welcome to Haunted Grounds, home of the original mirror chats of the Old World of Darkness' HTML chats based in Kansas City. Old players may recall it as Necropolis and some still call it this today, but to get rid of the bad taste some of the former moderation left we will stick with Kansas City. Old and new players are welcome to join in on one of the longest running Old World of Darkness cities online! We wish to note however, the old "Moderators" of such games are unlikely to be found here. Most of the Kansas City by Night rooms are semi-mod at best, so please feel free to come in and possibly bring back your older characters. Don't see one of the old rooms you and your friends played in? Please, feel free to ask us to bring them back and provided there is enough interest, we will likely set it up. A few of these settings have changed to cover the several year time gap, but most are free for players to come in and start up play.

Also throughout the site, we provided places to play for various games even outside of Kansas. Some of these range from ones back on the HTML chats, to new ideas when people get a game going and want their own little corner of the chats or simply privacy to carry out a chronicle between certain players. We attempt to make the chats as accommodating for players as possible. All we ask is the site rules be followed which are listed, behavior remains mature and most of all..Everyone has fun!

So feel free to have a look around. Just take note in which rooms are open and which are moderated, various settings and any rules those games/rooms may have. If you're interested in something you see, feel free to ask. Most open rooms that see play people are willing normally to answer questions and moderated/separate settings usually have a link to a website that will get you in touch with someone to help, usually in the form of a Storyteller.

We also have a Resources page which players can use or contribute to. With White Wolf discontinueing the Old World of Darkness, sometimes resources are hard to come by and most are simply player concepts or additions. The forums is also to be noted and while not required to join, it is recommended. These sections have chat info and some settings have their own sections. If you would like a section within the forums, we can set one up for your game.
